Really, depends on the mood/situation. Anything in which they are not mushy, but, the most nostalgic is raw, a bit of salt if convenient, (but not necessary) with juice dripping down my chin.

Pumpernickel. Dijon. Salt pepper. Bacon.
Sliced in a sandwich. In a Greek salad with olive oil and feta or a ntakos salad with carob rusk. In a bruschetta, a focaccia or a ladenia.
