Was growing on its own after spring in the garden box. Never seen this before. Help please

    I think it’s a sweet pea (lathyrus odaratus). Big-time pollinator attractor.

    Sweetpea comes in so many colors. Grow great on a split rail fence. They are toxic so keep away from pets.

    That looks like sweet pea. Keep a close eye on them, they tend to attract aphids.

    definitely a sweet pea. did you get seeds from anybody as a passalong? if you usually grow vegetable peas in this plot, I wonder if there was a name mix-up, like someone confusing sugar snap peas for sweet peas
