Just leave it. The tree all ready ate it. You’ll do way more damage removing it

Do not remove that wire. Cut it off on both sides.
I would be shocked if you could even remove that wire at all.

Cut the wire somewhere so the tree can expand…or it will kill it. Its trying to grow around it but that doesn’t mean it will

These are nasty surprises for lumberjacks….because the trees 99% of the time are A-OK living a happy healthy life even with a wire inside. They’ll snag and ruin your chainsaw but the wire presents next to no danger to the tree. The visible deformity is the tree adapting around the wire, like it would any other infection.
However, this can seriously harm a child or someone planting flowers etc. It is best to take some snips and cut it as near the trunk as possible. Ideally you rub it with your finger after cutting and can’t even feel wire. The tree will absorb the ends and kiddos get no owies.

Cut the tree in the wire part, remove the wire and glue it back together, tape optional

Just cut the wire close to the trunk

Sure if you want to unzip the success the tree has already achieved against said wire. Agree with everyone else. Cut as close to the trunk as reasonably possible.
