i drilled some holes in the bottom and the top, i keep the bin closed during the day since its like 80 degrees here, so i hope that'll be hot enough to properly 'hot compost' lol.
just posting since this is my mother's house (college student) so i'm trying to set up something simple that will be easy to add to and eventually use. right now we've got eggs, coffee grounds, and like 3 cardboard boxes, plus topsoil mixed around.

You can compost but its not going to be close to hot composting. You probably should look into vermicomposting if you’re space or material limited.
