I was surprised to find both my chrysanthemums in the ground and pot dead after last week’s cold and wet weather

The week before they were healthy and flowering

Is this because they were unable to tolerate cold and rain?

I have been planting them for a couple of seasons without issues and last week’s weather is not uncommon for Melbourne

Thanks

    How’s the drainage there?

depending on their age they may have just reached the end of their natural life, most varieties of mums aren’t bred to live long, unfortunately.
