Monstera roots won’t be contained… I use plastic backing moss poles and even theb they’ll find a way. They’ll go to the pot and escap through the drainage holes, or they’ll climb the pole and escape through the top and no one’s telling them otherwise…
Yeah they just do their own thing. As it grows and is pliable focus it back down into the pot. It’s how they support themselves in the wild.
