ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – If you’re looking to get out of the house on Mother’s Day, a Rockford specialty garden is offering a relaxed afternoon of outdoor fun for the occasion.

From noon to 3 p.m., May 10, Klehm Arboretum and Botanic Garden hosts a celebration of mothers at its site, 2715 S. Main Street.

The whole family can come together to stroll through the gardens in peak spring bloom, enjoying live acoustic music from Rockford singer Chris Lewis.

Mama’s Feel Good Food Truck will be available for families to enjoy a meal while taking in the beauty of the site. Take-home flower bouquets will also be available for purchase in the Garden Pavilion.

Guests can also purchase a family portrait at the garden, taken by Nikki Vorgic Photography.

Admission prices are:

Adults: $12 Seniors (62+): $10 Students (18+ with ID): $10Children: $10 Klehm members and children under three: Free
