Just showing off!
I had no clue what i was doing but it worked out!
I started with a jungle of weeds and somehow 0 grass. No clue what the previous owners were doing.
I cut the tree back for sunligh, hand pulled the weeds, rented a tiller, brought in some topsoil (only 1/2 a yard to help level things out)
Threw down some black beauty heat and drought (tall fescue and texas bluegrass) that i pre germinated, raked it in and watered a bunch.
Had some good Ole texas downpours that washed out some of my seed but I just reseeded and kept watering.
The last Pic is after its first mow which was 5 weeks after seeding.
Hardest part was walking the dogs every time instead of just letting them out back lol.

Looks awesome! And no weeds! I ended up with a bunch of weeds! Pretty much did the same as you but with Bermuda and in Arizona…. Walked the dog constantly…lol got some green grass though!!!
Gorgeous, I inherited a bald lawn in a similarly shady spot and am hoping for your success!
