The fire clears out the competition, opens the canopy, and suddenly the bog explodes back to life like this! The glowing pitchers everywhere you look. It honestly feels like stepping onto another planet.
My guess is this was burned in February.
People who have never seen a healthy longleaf pine bog in person have no idea these places even exist. Absolute carnivorous plant paradise
