I finally dropped a bag on my fav plant and the day it got home, one of the two big leaves started like.. melting ? i havent repotted it since buying it last week & the other big leaf still looks amazing. I use a moisture meter to know when to water her & ive fertilized her today.
I saw other forums say if this happens, its not getting enough light, so I bought a grow light today. I havent used it yet, because I wanted to ask reddit first. I've also seen other forums that say it just does that sometimes, so im so confused :') Thank you!
EDITED TO ADD: The new leaf growing in is almost completely white!

Yes the white parts of the leaf will melt at some point due to lack of chlorophyll. But you can try to minimize it with exactly what you write. Give it lots of light and fertilize every watering. Adding silica will make a difference. Yours is highly variegated and the new leaf is all white so expect it to melt in 2-3 weeks maybe
Also they like humidity.
