I have no idea what I’m going to do with this but I couldn’t pass it up.


The jar is heavy, thick glass. 9" across x 11" inches tall. Any creative ideas? It's too big to set up with leca/moss, right? I thought a terrarium would be awesome but I'd have to have a lid fabricated, I'll see who works in acrylic locally. Appreciate any ideas!

    You could do leca! I have pothos clippings in a big glass jar of leca, thriving. I just keep the bottom full with a little water!

    Propagation station! I have something similar and have a mini monstera propagation on it

    Its not too big to set up with leca and moss if you have a plant or multiple plants to fit it

    Personally, pebbles or something like leca at the bottom, tropical mix potting soil and a coffee plant would be my go to, but I like the terrarium ideas.

    A few inches of lecca, a layer of mesh, a lauer of charcoal and soil. This will be gorgeous! Be brave!!

    🤣 I have an *extensive* collection of terrarium-suitable glass bowls and bottles sitting in my house waiting for the day that there are enough plants on earth to fill them!

    I would do a paludarium or simple jar pond. Maybe a few small rice fish and some terrestrial plants like papyrus and an overhead light. If you havent seen serpa design on youtube, he has some build tutorials that I think you would find very fitting for this awesome jar. Also, if you had like a wooden dowel you should totally see if that thing resonates like a crystal singing bowl 👀 just be careful lol
