I’m def overthinking this. But I can’t decide and I’ve been thinking about this for a while!!! I’ve had this Hoya for about 6 months. She’s grown a bit. A little bit. Outgrew the chopsticks!!! I’ve always wanted trailing plants but I don’t have ideal conditions and lots of restrictions due to space. I see lots of pictures of trellis’ and I like the look. But I also like how my untethered KQ looks. She’s looking to climb. But I can’t decide what to do with her. Or what style trellis suits best. I’m also scared about the process and damaging the plant! If this was ur plant, how u move forward with her? If I put her on a trellis, and don’t like it after a couple weeks or months, can I just remove her out of the trellis??

If it were my plant, I’d totally trellis half – (or however much you’re feeling) and let the other part hang!
I’ve been seeing this a lot more recently. I think there’s many of us undecided out there so let’s just split the difference! 🤣😉
And as long as your plant isn’t tangled up in itself on the trellis, you should be able to take it out if you’re careful.
    Good luck!🍀

Give her a trellis or she’ll stop growing!
    😉

This is my Queen on a trellis. It is so heavy and I had to add a bunch of stuff to keep it from falling over. If I had a place to hang a basket, I would have done that instead. Or used a tomato cage to trellis it in a spiral instead of a circular loop. Just for future perspective. When it was smaller (I got it as a 4 inch pot), it looked great this way. I mean it still does but it is close to needing more support.

I love the half up half down look. My KQ looks similar

I like to hang mine when possible.

I just put mine in a hanging planter. I’m hoping that it trails and climbs up the ropes. Best of both worlds.
