This circular area around the tree in our new house had a bunch of small river rock. I was digging them out and decided to work on exposing the root flare (as a casual to this sub that’s a buzz word).
Is the section I dug out too exposed, not enough, or just right?
And yes, all that fabric is going to go.

Pretty near perfect, could be slightly higher but this is good as well
20% more to go, hostas might need moving
