Thanks to everyone who shared feedback on my last post!! I’ve since moved the crates off the pavers and on to some grass. I’m going to be moving the whole thing farther from the ledge before I plant, so I can access it on all sides. I’ve added old patio rails to lift everything off the ground as well. For those asking, I put landscape fabric at the bottom of the milk crates for better drainage! I have beets planted, but nothing else will be planted until the end of the month. I’m growing potatoes, arugula, leeks, and carrots as well. Different soil mixes for each. My arugula and leeks have been started inside and are growing great. To those who suggested topping up the milk crates – I will be doing that soon, too! (I know the black pot is only half full, I ran out of soil today lol).

Thank you for the update. Looking great! Can’t wait to see how it all goes after you sow/plant.
Good luck growing this season!
I’m using an assortment of grow bags, planter boxes, and pots for my container garden. My first attempt. If this season goes well and I’m physically able, I might try tilling up a small bed next year. MG Moisture Control soil and, before I put the plant in, a scoop of Black Kow beneath it. Earthworm castings and mulch to top it off. I give it some fish emulsion every now and then, too.
