I planted 10 Welwitschia about three months ago and ended up losing 9 of them (partially due to going on vacation) however, the one that I still have is growing extremely slowly.

It's in grow bags that have soil mixed roughly in the way the Ihaveplants posts described. According to my phone, they get ~850 ppfd of light for 12 hours per day. I water them about 500ml every other day and keep the temperature around 85-90 degrees, with a fan and humidifier running at all times.

Any ideas on what would cause this plant to be going so slowly/advice about what I should change before buying more seeds? I have a number of other desert plants in this space and they are all incredibly happy and healthy.
