hello! after getting an ID for this beautiful begonia, i’m wondering how to care for it. a roommate left it here and i’ve never kept begonias before and i really want it to thrive. it’s sitting in water for now. people identified it as an angle wing begonia…?

easy method, get an unglazed clay pot with an opening, that one I would start with a 4- 6″. There are “tropical houseplant” soil mixes, plant about 1″ from the bottom of the pot. If the soil has fertilizer it will only last a couple months and you will need to get fertilizer, but for the first few months you just need to water it, take it to the sink and allow alot of water to flow out of the pot.
begonias do not like wet leaves.
I believe that is a b. Lucerna, but I can’t say for certain.
