LEWISTON, Maine (WGME) — It’s spring, which means the flowers are blooming. The same is true for a memorial garden in Lewiston.
The “I Love You” gardens were built for the Lewiston/Auburn area.
They are a tribute to the lives lost in the mass shooting in October 2023.
Last October, about 50 volunteers planted 1,500 bulbs and more than 100 pollinator-friendly plants at Oxford and Cross Streets.
Now, the gardens are in full bloom and a beautiful sight.
There will be community planting days every month until October 25.
