Sorry to hear about your Dad. Most of these plants are aloes (and other succulents), which generally do not need a lot of water and dislike having damp roots. I would suggest to wait until the soil is dry at the top and then water all the way through and let it drain out. Depending on the climate where you are, you won’t need to water these plants too often.

When hydrated most of these plants will have leaves that have firm pressure when pressed. They will start to soften when they are ready for water. Wait until the leaves just begin to soften (not wrinkle or shrivel) but when they start to have less pressure. That’s the time to give that plant a thorough watering.

drown them for 15 mins and then let them dry out. water them again in like a month or when they feel kinda squishy or look thirsty/droopy (and the soil is dry)

succulents and wont need watered for a month depending on when they were watered last. Wishing your dad a speedy recover.

How long will he be there? If it’s less than two weeks don’t even touch them. Probably up to a month even since it looks like they are all succulents.

I’m sorry to hear about your dad 💕 hope he recovers quickly. You’re in a bit of luck though in that he’s left you some of the easiest plants to care for. They all seem to be various varieties of succulents, so the worst thing you can do it over-water them. They all seem in great shape at the moment. Check with your finger and when the soil is dry for the top inch or two inches, either completely submerge the pots in water, then remove them, or put them in the sink and water them fully, wait for the water to stop dripping from the bottom, and replace them. Two weeks is the most often you’ll need to, I’d expect, probably even less than that. Fingers crossed your dad will be back home to tell you if you’ve got it right or not long before then 💕

Aloe vera are some of the succulents so don’t water until completely dried out then a soak and drain

I would not rush to do anything. A bit of neglect is better for these than too much love. They need a lot less water than most people think.
If he has been away for less than 3 weeks, I wouldn’t worry about it. After that start looking at the soil like people said.
I hope your dad feels better soon ❤️🌱

Your dad has beautiful plants. They’re all so lush and healthy!
Id leave the succulents alone. But I saw some spider plants and a prayer plant in there. For those. Stick your finger in the dirt. If its wet, its fine.

The advice I would give has already been said multiple times, but just wanted to say that those windows are stunning! I hope your dad recovers well <3

Unless he’s gone more than 2-3 weeks you probably don’t have to water any of those

If he will be in hospital for less than a month, probably don’t water them. Even more water-needy houseplants can be left for a week long vacation.
You can stick a finger into the dirt. If any dirt sticks to your finger, there’s moisture in there and it doesn’t need water.
You can also pick up the pots to feel the weight to tell if something is dry but that’s tricky if you don’t have a frame of reference.
When in doubt, water less. Overwatering kills WAY faster and Way more often than underwatering, especially with succulents.
You got this 🙂

Everyone else has already given very good advice, and I just want to commend you for thinking about your dad’s plants in this time. I know I’d be heartbroken to come out of hospital and my beloved plants were dead, so your thoughtfulness is noted and appreciated ❤️

No advice to give, but I’d like to add to the good wishes for your dad’s recovery.

Succulents. They do good without water for long periods of time. Definitely don’t need to water as frequently as non succulent plants.

They look like succulents, water only when the soil is completely dry but not too much water.

Stick your finger into the pot about an inch and a half over the wrinkle of your finger if you feel no moisture then water. Make sure the water thoroughly all of the way through then wait another 2 weeks and check again. If it’s moist just leave it alone and check in another few days or so.
