In this video, I take you through my life here in the Finnish countryside during April. This month didn’t really follow my plan. Things break, plans change, and progress is slow. But alongside the frustration, I feel so grateful – for having this place, this land, and the chance to build something of our own.

Hello everyone ❤️ What a month it’s been! A lot didn’t go as planned – progress in the garden is slow, things broke, and some days it was so windy that our electricity was cut off (although thankfully only for a short while). But alongside everything that was out of my control, there were so many good moments. And I feel so grateful every day – for having this place, this land, and the chance to build something of our own.
Thank you so much for being here. I’m grateful for that too 😊 I hope that wherever you are, you feel safe and that spring is finding its way to you as well 🌼 Out here, we’re right on the edge of a big transformation. Every day I see new tiny leaves appearing here and there, I discover flowers in the garden I didn’t even know were there. The days are already long, and the nights are becoming bright again. It feels like a really special time is just beginning here 🥰
i love ukrainians…they are so hard working..i know some of them and they are just amazing…and the skill sets they have…geesh..next level
you could prob ask your neighbours to help you…Finns are pretty helpful if you just ask..they never offer it..and another thing..you look so young…how the hell you know all these things how to make everything
Very nice video. Exellent finish Suomi. Hope all the best to your family.
Todella kivoja ja tunnelmallisia videoita sinulla ja on mielenkiintoista kuulla mietteitäsi ja kokemuksiasi. Vaikutatte todella mukavalle pariskunnalle. Arvostan kovasti.
The house and the area where you live look very beautiful and cozy. All the best to you!!
Such a nice couple and another great video. 😁 I didn't know you were Ukrainian?? I watch several video's of Ukrainian families. Recently I have seen a LOT of Easter Bread being baked. 😋 What you said about Ukrainians not wearing gloves is very true. I have heard countless comments from viewers urging the good folks to wear gloves, but only out of concern for their protection. ❤ I hope you two can have some beautiful children before it is too late? There is nothing more important in this life. 👍
Laittakaa vaikka kolme kierrosta eri korkeudelle. Piikkilanka voisi tehostaa sitä vielä lisään. Kiitos videosta!
Oo, birch sap is called "mahla". i have tried it.
Hieno idea käyttää vanhoja ikkunoita
Liekittää tuon puun nik että on musta ja hiiltynyt nii ehkä ennen vanhaan tehtiin
Great video! What do you do for work and how did you manage to buy such a big house and plot of land?
I guess it's question of combining what you already know and know how to do and adapting it to a new location and conditions
Your English speaking is good. Keep going 👍🏻
BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE SIMPLE LIFE
What are your car issues? I can maybe help you fix it as you have your own garage. I live in Itti.
❤❤❤
Thank you for the update. I hope the issue with the car will get resolved soon, must be so frustrating especially at this time of the year :<. Regarding the deers, it might be best to immediately invest in a proper deer fence to protect the garden area where you want to grow vegetables, flowers etc. They will otherwise eat pretty much everything. When I started gardening about 8 years ago it started with minimal experiments but has then gradually grown into much bigger activity. Now I have around dozen benches situated allover the bigger garden area and I have to separately protect each of them. If I had had a plan from the start it would have been moneywise cheaper and timewise much much cheaper to properly fence one bigger area of the garden and concentrate all activity there.
Nykyisin jopa marraskuulle saakka voidaan saada satoa. Aiemmin oli perunannostoaika syyskuussa.
Thank you for the nice video. ☺ Concerning your bed boxes, pine is the best material available for that purpose for a decent price. You can protect it against rotting by using natural stuff such as linseed oil and pine tar. A good way to find cheap (or free) wood for minor projects (or basically anything else you need) is following the internet 2nd hand market places, such as Tori, for used and surplus material.
The mixture of linseed oil (2/3) and pine tar (1/3) can be also used for anti rust protection of your car once the body is welded up (this is not a joke!). A good option if you want to avoid using harmful chemicals. I have done this treatment to my cars and it's effective, especially if you manage to guide it inside the body structures, because the steel rusts from inside towards the outer surface. If this treatment is done annually, it's really effective. Of course it won't stop rusting but slows it down significantly.
Tip: it's a good idea to save some of the apple braches for firewood. They burn with a high temperature and they are useful especially if you cook with a wood stove and you need to get some extra heat.
You can burn those wood frames with torch and it's naturally good against rotting.
I Hope aall the Good 😊 👍to You and Your Man, its so nice that at You and Your Man live hear in Finland 🇫🇮 🙏
That strange-sounding bird is a töyhtöhyyppä.
