Most people fail at container gardening because they treat pots like small garden beds. Containers are a completely different growing system with different limitations.
Tomatoes need at least a 15-gallon container for proper root development. Peppers struggle in overheated dark containers. Mint should always grow alone. Leafy greens need more frequent watering than in-ground crops. Strawberries need fresh potting mix every couple of years. And without proper drainage, every container becomes a root rot problem waiting to happen.
The container itself often matters more than the plant growing inside it.
