We have 10 acres in a rural wooded area; the back half of our property is hilly woods. We have never cut the grass in the front half, and we’re solarizing in the summers and planting native bushes, flowers, and grasses wherever we can. The bug life is astonishing: millions of grasshoppers, native wasps of a hundred varieties, fireflies every summer. I wish everyone would/could do this, even in small scale.

So don’t keep me in suspense, what are the blue flowers?
