It was fine when I bought it.
It had a very tight and dry soil, i repotted it to a soil mix with pearlite, coco chunks, coco peat and broken earthernware.
I checked for root rot but all roots were healthy. It is even pushing out its second leaf after I've bought it.
It is being kept in the shade, there is bright indirect sunlight and humidity is 80+ all day because it rains every Evening.
What do I do?

I’ve heard good things about Silica to preserve the variegated portions but never tried it myself. Your mileage may vary, but It may be worth researching!
Repotting stress, might need a grow light, and needs fertilizer. If the plant isn’t generating enough energy from photosynthesis it will start to eat variegated parts of leaves as they have no chlorophyll.
Alocasia are very heavy feeders and variegated leaves have new higher light demands due to the reduced chlorophyll. Insufficient light is the likely reason. Secondary contributors will be insufficient feeding and the roots being unable to eat as much as they need to immediately after a repot.
Silica has really helped mine
