First year in new house. These guys are everywhere and they seem to love my recently started compost pile, do I have a problem or will they be my armored worms?

Nice! They break down decaying plant matter and their waste is great for the compost. They won’t hurt worms etc and are considered a friend to compost.
If you find them in the garden they can nibble on seedlings so just be careful protecting new little plants as you probably would anyway.
