My dog died last month, and I put it in one of those biodegradable urns.
I've been thinking in what kind of plant bury it, and I came across to this shrub. Honestly, I've never been a plant person, but I think she would look beautiful in this.
Is this a good idea for a beginner?
If not, what kind of plant would be better to bury it?

Never grown it, but I read can be tempermental. If you are willing to do the research and put the work in, there’s no reason not to.

I don’t know much about this plant, but based on Wikipedia info, it doesn’t seem terribly finicky. My biggest disclosure would be to make sure you know what you’re buying. A tree this large and well established is probably a few hundred dollars minimum. A younger/smaller one might take a little while to grow to this size and floral abundance.

No matter which plant holds your dog’s memory, it sounds like that plant will be well loved.
