I’ve been shredding Amazon boxes for browns – and it works pretty well – but I’m not so sure about these new mailers. I looked it up and it’s some sort of extruded techno glue—has anybody else has had experience in this breaking down?

I got one of these last week. Threw it in recycling just to be safe. I suspect the white material might be cellulose but I didn’t take the time to look it up. If so, it would be compostable.

Yes i have seen this asked before and the answer was yes.

  4. I think the glue is supposedly something natural. If you spit on it, it will dissolve.. ive thrown them in my compost with no issues

Its a starch based glue. Its edible and compostable.

It’s puffed starch. Fine to shred and compost.
