Pothos tend to prefer to be more on the root bound end of the spectrum. However, they can be heavy feeders. So, fertilizer/rejuvenating the soil is necessary after awhile.

However, nothing shows me shes close to needing a repot at this moment. Pothos tend to be vining plants, so trying to grow out of the pot is NOT a good indicator that it needs a repotting.

Marble queen by the looks of it.

Check the roots, not the top vines

I don’t think that pothos do better rootbound. I feel like that is said about every plant and I agree to an extent and disagree as well.
The plant will concentrate on trying to grow its roots to fill the pot, so it’s not growing the leaves. I did the rootbound thing with my marble queen and had to cut a bunch of its roots cuz they were stuck in the bottom of the pot. So for me, I repot then when the pot is full of roots but not yet rootbound.
