Here I was thinking that strawberries took 3 years to get established! As in, you don't get any fruit for years. Definitely need to get some plants started this year
I do always learn from your videos. We have some strawberries bern growing for ten twenty yeard. They get better every year. No amendments, just maple leaves bliwing over the strawberrues every year breaking down . The strawbs are thriving
Can you do a video on asparagus? We top dressed with mushroom compost 3-4 inches early this year but the bed has stopped producing. Did we possibly rot the crowns with too much or did the ph level change making it difficult for the crowns to uptake nutrients. Should we use something other than compost or limit it as a top dressing?
I enjoy watching your channel and tips. I am starting fresh with flowers bed in our yard we bought over a year ago. So last spring I watched what came up and realized I have a few hundred bulbs to move from crowded beds. The soil is so packed and dead in places. Thank you for sharing ♥️
Your sharing is very meaningful and inspiring, thank you so much! Sending best wishes to everyone who shares the same passion for growing plants and living close to nature. 🌱🌿😊
Thank you for the information. I have always struggled with strawberries and rhubarb despite most people saying they can't be stopped, probably because I tried to do to much to them during growing season. I am trying again with strawberry roots that I ordered from MI Gardener. Fingers crossed!
I've had the same strawberry bed for almost 5 years and it's growing thicker and thicker each year and I had an inch layer of soil to it every year with shredded leaves mixed in with it and I've never had a problem so far
New subscriber a few weeks ago…just what i needed. Succinct, logical, methodical and very informative. Thanks for what you do🎉
Question…does, or can, Trifecta act as a stand alone fertilizer, or can it be used with fish emulsion and/or other natural 2-2-2, 5-2-2's, (like Dr Earth), etc, as well as worm castings?
Whew. Thanks in advance. You rock.
Edit…Upper East Tennessee, on the cusp of 7a/7b. Near App-uh-latch-un Trail and lots of old mountains, rivers, etc. Dan'l Boone walked through my yard. Kinda cool.
How do you amend when nothing ever dies back, like in Hawaii? I’ve been just putting compost on the top of my soil and scratching it in, but is there a better method?

Lol..oopsies..i put soil over them and they rotted😂😂. Welp, at least i know now!!!
Ask the new owners of your parents house if you can split the rhubarb. I bet they will say yes. Make a tutorial on how to dig up and split.

Compost water !
What about a raised bed with blackberry plants? Should I follow the 1-2 inches of compost when the plants are dormant?
