I’ve learned so much from this sub 🙏🏼 First pile. I knew you all would understand my excitement upon checking it this morning.

Double bay 4x4x4 pens. This pile is made of 2/3 last season’s leaves I yoinked off a neighbor’s curb before the city snatched them. The other 1/3 is mostly first grass clippings of the season and some kitchen scraps. Started 6 days ago.

Love that my neighbor literally laughed at me when I asked if I could take some of their massive leaf mound for our compost piles. I’m sure the sight of me dragging contractor bags back and forth across the street like a frantic squirrel stashing the last nuts before winter was a sight to see 😅
