I’m digging out a patch that was a dumping ground for coal ash from the fireplace and keeping finding these bulbs. There are nettles, briars and ferns around where I am digging.
.
Look very like crocosmia that I have to dig up consistently in my garden. Like they just keep coming.

Defo dispose of these in the bin, while they have lovely yellow or orange flowers, that last all summer, they take over. They don’t benefit pollinators and between their foliage and these corms spreading underground, they crowd out other plants quite quickly!

I’d say crocosima most likely
Montbretia/crocosmia
They’ll be everywhere soon enough.
Quite pretty, very invasive
