Sooo my dad has had these two calatheas and prayer plant for 20+ years. He is an extraordinary gardener, but only if the plants are mangled and half dead. I’ve revived these guys many times and am not sure what’s going on now. They do great if I keep them bagged for a greenhouse effect. But I noticed the calatheas were getting brown spots underneath the leaves, so I took the plastic bags off and now they are all turning yellow and sad
🙁 what do I do???

Really looks like the air is too dry.
When my plants get to this point I take them out of dirt and put them in a water prop set up. Water only gives them a chance to form better roots and kind of recover from whatever you have going on now. Once they get some healthy roots they can go back in easy draining soil. From there, only water when the pot feels light. I can’t tell if my plants need to be watered by sticking something in the soil.
And try using a smaller pot at first. Too big of a pot and the plant can’t process all the extra water.
Are they getting enough light?
Looks like a prayer plant maybe? The yellowing could be from overwatering or maybe it needs fertilizer, that soil looks kinda dry tho 🤔
Use clean scissors and trim the dead brown parts.
Remove fully damaged leaves if more than 50% brown. If it has stayed wet/soggy for days: roots may be stressed and the soil may need replacing. Do you fertilize them? Use a humidifier to get the humidity to at least 50%. I have humidifiers all over my house and use a thermometer/hygrometer to read the humidity for my plants.
I collect rainwater and use that or filtered/distilled water to water them. Hopefully something I’ve mentioned will help any you can get them back on track.
