Have just noticed this on the underside of my monstera, on 2 leaves not the whole plant. This one lives inside.
Have had thrips appear on my 2 big monsteras outside and am worried it is somehow related?? The 2 outside also have this on some leaves. I don’t want to loose this one too.
Any advice is much appreciated! Thank you ❤️

I did research on this and it’s wear and tear from the monstera moving its leaf to get light
Not a bug, it’s more like a callous. Pretty harmless but does mean your leaf doesn’t know which way to turn.
That’s the geniculum and it’s very active because it moves in response to light exposure. Thus, it corks from all of the movement. 💚
Corking. Completely normal
Nope normal happens
