what happened to my fairy washboard? i've had it in a SW facing window all winter but now that the suns out a bit more i noticed it one day it became this very brown color? are the leaves just sunburned from too much sun? i tried moving to a north facing window but am worried it won't get enough light. i live in zone 7

does the pot have a drainage hole?
Looks waterboarded
Yo that’s a actually a haworthia ” Venosa ” tessellata. This variety changes color as an effect to sun exposure, the more sun it is exposed to the more brown it becomes. In Nature this plant usually is protected from midday high sun since it grows under bushes so keep that in mind to avoid sunburn.
There’s no way you’re giving them TOO much sun. Haworthias are from southern Africa, evolved to live fully exposed in the hot (30C) bright sun.
This is severely overwatered. They do not like their roots to remain wet. The soil should be completely dry between waterings, and water drained within 24 hours.
I have my collection under LED grow lights with a 14 hours photoperiod, growing around 24-26C. I water roughly once a week.
maybe too moist?
You need a chunky mix of perlite, coco noir, leca, worm castings, orchid bark, plant charcoal.
How often do you water it?
I think it might be with taking it out of the soil and inspecting the roots, just in case there’s root rot.
Root rot? Did you check the roots?
