What did I find on my pepper plant? In 30 years I’ve never seen this.
What is this???? It was not there a few days ago. It looks like a growth, was dry when I pulled off what was on my pepper. Google said Planthopper eggs but this was a Festival of something…. I have never seen anything like it.
Slime mold! Your soil’s happy. Hose it off the plant if it bothers you or let it ride for a week or two and it’ll probably go away.

As u/fozzyfreakingbear said, it’s a slime mold likely [Dog Vomit Slime Mold](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuligo_septica) or Fuligo septica. They spread via the wind and show up after rain capitalizing on the humidity. Likely was aiming for whatever soil/mulch you got in your beds and found a “good enough” domicile in the foliage.
