The Dos Valles Garden Club invites the public to its May General Meeting, Tuesday, May 12, 10 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church’s Community Hall, 31020 Cole Grade Rd.
The featured program will be Jessica Majel with the All Tribes Charter School, who will present a program on its Future Farmers of America (FFA) program.
Serving both middle and high school students, the program emphasizes agricultural leadership, hands-on learning, and personal responsibility. Students have opportunities to participate in FFA conferences, career development events, and specialized agricultural education, preparing them for future careers in agriculture and related fields.
Flower show
The Dos Valles Garden Club sponsored its annual Flower Show over the weekend at the Valley Center Library.
A spokesman for the club told The Roadrunner, “We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who participated in last weekend’s flower show. Your beautiful entries helped make the event a tremendous success.”
New members are always encouraged to join. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just getting started, there’s a place for you. Gardening is an activity the whole family can enjoy. It not only brings people together, but also helps relieve stress, provides fresh, homegrown food, and encourages time outdoors in the fresh air.
Along the way, it offers healthy exercise that supports strong bones and muscles.
“Come for the knowledge, stay for the friendship.”
