Eastern Redbud (edit) is its American cousin, and it’s likely a Judas Tree!
In the UK, it’s Judas tree, *Cercis siliquastrum*. Leaves are rounder in shape compared to pointier leaves for the Eastern redbud (*Cercis canadensis**)
Looks like my neighbors judas tree. People are always taking pictures of it.
The flowers on the bark are meant to represent the blood 🩸 of Judas dripping on the tree he hung himself from
