I have several African Violets who have developed a second crown, leading to a messy cluster of leaves that look like there are two separate plants in the same pot. I took this one out of its pot today to repot the (I thought) two plants into two pots but (see image 2) there's just one plant stem.
Is there a way to deal with this situation so that the plant has a single set of leaves like I expect from an African Violet? What can I do to get that classic AV look? TIA

Yes they are suckers, and totally normal. You can just pull them off and they’ll come out as a whole crown. Just plant them and it will become a new plant
