This tree was one of seven that we just planted for our annual Arbor Day celebration less than 2 weeks ago.
I drives me crazy sometimes putting so much time and effort into trying to improve our public spaces and then all of that is undone in 5 seconds of someone doing something stupid.
Anyone else here deal with issues like these and how do you deal with the frustration?

There is literaly no security for the tree
I would prune off that broken branch so the tree can focus on the other leader. It looks healthy and can be guided.
you didnt plant them correctly. youve mounded mulch up to the trunk of every one of those, encouraging rot. no one is perfect. not you, not, nature. now expose every one of those root flares for all the trees planted too deep and if you want them to continue thriving, get the mulch off the bark.
