Hi all. Yesterday I purchased a Nepenthes Gaya, although it is not the finest specimen I have ever seen. It has almost no pitchers and some of the stems leading to the pitchers are black, and the black seems to be spreading up the stem towards the leaf in at least one location on the plant. (Photo attached).
I was wondering what I should do about this? Should I deadhead the plant completely? Should I prune back just the black parts? What would people say is the general health of this plant? Am I overly worried?
Just in case anyone is curious, the conditions in my area, which the plant will be kept in are:
Average Temperature Range: 18°C – 24°C
Humidity: 65 – 80% Avg
Light from east and west facing windows, with the plant hanging in-between.
