This came with a bunch of echevarias and a jade plant all designed pretty that someone gifted me. Like two weeks after I got it it exploded into a million pieces and I just left it exploded in the pot and a year and a half later it looks like this.

What do I do?

They need to be repotted into soil with better !grit and ensure the pot has a drainage hole (if you can get them into terracotta even better) and gradually but surely increase !light.

They don’t look overwatered to me which is great but wait for the soil to be completely dry between watering. Best way to tell is to pick up the pot after a good soak, wait 5-7 days, depending on your conditions, if it feels super light the soil is mostly dry. If it’s still got some weight to it give it longer.

After the soil is dry for maybe another week you can give it another drink. Technically they can go longer without water (like if you go away for 3 weeks) but that’s only when they’re properly hydrated and healthy.

These guys aren’t dying but with more light and better soil you’ll see them turn around quickly. I’ll also summon the !beginner bot so you can read around in there as well 😊

Eches are sun hogs, 12 to 14 hours of good indirect light is a must or they get leggy.79% gritty 30% succ soil.
