I’m a first time garden owner so learning all the time.
The soil had been compacted and covered in gravel for years so has taken a lot of work to improve. We did the paving all ourselves last summer which was the most physically demanding part of it all.
The hardest part now is stopping myself from buying more plants!

I love it! What’s the plant in pic 13?
Great work for a non pro. My advice – just keep buying plants!😂😂
This looks great! I am looking at doing a similar gravel path. Did you do any prep before putting the gravel grids? Thanks
That looks a great job, well done. The metal border edging, was it hard to unroll it and keep straight when installing?
Now THAT’S a beautiful transformation. The wall would have been a big selling and focal point for me, too. Gorgeous! Well done.
Stunning! I bet all those narcissi smelled amazing in the spring. I am a narcissus addict too (a narcissist?). My favourite variety is [Fragrant Spring](https://www.farmergracy.co.uk/products/narcissus-fragrant-spring-bulbs-uk). The flowers are huge and smell amazing.
That’s an amazing job, gor to feel proud if that achievement 💪 is that a Guem in the last pic? We got one of those recently and my other half loves it 😁
Lovely, really nice use of the space I’d be very proud of that 👍💪
Looks amazing. Hard work pays off
You’ve absolutely earned the right to buy all the plants you want—that soil transformation and DIY paving alone deserve a botanical victory lap.
Amazing !🤩
It looks so so good.
Well done.
