Cultivated blackberry vine that popped up along my fence. Likely from prior owners as they are thornless. I've heard the warnings about them becoming a nuisance, but I like being in the garden.
Last year, I let the primocanes grow long and wove them through each other along the top of the fence. Pruning the now floricanes back this year should be as simple as cutting themand lifting them off, as long as the new primocanes don't get mixed in.
Looking forward to cobbler.

I wonder what makes cultivated blackberries non-invasive compared to the Himalayan ones.
Looks awesome & they look very happy! That chain link seems a perfect setup esp with how you wove it.
I want berries but I’m concerned they’d get out of hand/I’ll struggle to manage them in the space I have. Will think about it some more lol. Also will continue to debate with myself which type to grow 🙂
