I remember my friend and I excitedly cooing over a dense patch of cute little sprouts that started popping up on a site we’d prepped and planted the previous fall several years back… ended up being a bunch of several highly aggressive creeping invasives that made our lives hell that whole growing season 🫣 Prepped well but traveling seeds gonna travel.

Now every new sprout gets The Thing treatment. I don’t know which of you are who you say you are but everyone’s being viewed with suspicion and hostility until they get a positive ID 🔫 😑

May your friendly sprouts be many and vigorous and may your invasives flee and perish this year 🪄

This is me in my garden for the past couple years. Let it run wild with pumpkins one year, and I’m still picking out seedlings 3 years later. It’s a shame because their cotlydons look so plump and happy

Man I have this super aggro but technically native willowherb. Let it seed last year and that shit is EVERYWHERE NOW OMGWTF

I don’t think I’ll keep it this year… maybe toss it into the side alley and let it war with the creeping buttercup
