I’ve searched through every plant and can’t find a caterpillar or slugs. Anyone got any ideas and any fixes?

Slugs and snails, when you’re asleep!

It’s caterpillars or slugs…. Go out at night if you want to see if it’s slugs and/or beertrap

If there’s no caterpillars, it’s pigeons.

Probably slugs. They come out at night, and are good at hiding.

Looking at the bites it definitely slugs or snails or both. Check last thing at night when they all come out from hunger.

This is damage from birds, you need to net them.

Same thing happened to me, I just went outside late at night with a flashlight and caught a bunch of slugs.

The biggest surprise was how fast they actually move!

So yeah, go out late at night when it’s dark and have a look and I bet you’ll catch something red handed.

  8. If they were slugs or snails I think you’d find slime trails 🤔

  9. Slugs put some beer in a saucer it will attract them they die drunk, so kind of merciful

Slugs and snails usually leave a bit of slime which can look a bit dewy or like spiders web silk, but in a line, the next day. Can you see any traces?

I was thinking caterpillar actually – but I’m not experienced with birds/pigeons attacking my plants.

Sand paper is good, if you use beer traps its like advertising: “pubs open, free beer” in England, they will flock to it, i find they won’t cross coarse sand paper.

Everything if they are not better. Looks like a combo of slugs/snails and pigeons. Caterpillars will follow onto all your brassicas if you don’t fine mesh net pronto! Ask me how I know…no don’t-I’m not ready to talk about it.
