I planted this in my front plot last fall and it has come back so full, leafy, and huge. I can’t wait for the flowers, but honestly, I’d take it just like this too. Just wanted to share with others who might appreciate!

This does not look like Rudbeckia hirta, if that is the black eyed susan you are thinking.

This look more like coneflower, maybe a yellow coneflower?

Rudbeckia hirta foliage is fuzzy and more of a lighter green.

Rudbeckia fulgida “Goldsturm”, It is a hardy and harmless ornamental bred from a R. fulgida x R. hirta cross, but something about this cultivar makes it a real dud for any insects. I have never recorded any insects visiting goldsturm. They do visit the straight species fulgida.

This is much more mounding than my R. Fulgida…almost looks like Echinacea
