I was all-in on carnivores a few years ago. Never got to grow-tent level but I picked my specimens to work with my climate. Then I moved to a tiny 2nd-floor apartment and had to rehome my bog gardens. Sunlight reflecting off a windshield torched several of my Neps, and thrips claimed my last Sar. Scale-farming ants reduced my D. Binata to a stump but it is slowly bouncing back, and
I still have an N. Ventrata and Ampullaria that live contentedly on my balcony. But I've leaned into cacti and seed-grown trees because I can keep them out by the dog run and they can tolerate a little bit of neglect. I guess I forgot that carnivores can be grown indoors with a quality light.
So say hello to my new indoor carnivore garden, claiming a couple shelves of my stand-alone "wardrobe" and lit by a ViparSpectra P2000. Amazon didn't have the 1000 in stock so 🤷♂️
I've wanted a Cephalotus and a D. Regia for years. So happy to finally have them.
