I just finished my tower and I need to purchase some form of timer to turn the pump on and off. I am not sure how long the tower should be sprinkling the water for each day or hour. What are your recommendations? I have roommates and its a bit noisy so im curious what the optimal run time is and the minimum run time is so I can avoid making too much noise since its in our living room. And can it get too much light? See image for reason for concern.

I have mine on for two minutes and off for 10 and it seems to be working well for me.
Run mine 15 min on / 45 min off.
I like the build very good.
