Older leaves of my philodendron ring of fire are growing one direction (facing away from the moss pole) but my newest leaves grow the opposite. Is it normal? I’m so confused!

The plant is rooting into the moss pole. It’s been thriving with much larger leaves since putting it on the moss pole.

I wouldn’t put one of these on a pole, I believe they are self-heading.

your issue is light direction (though they’ll occasionally toss out a backwards pointing leaf ).

make sure the philo’s BETWEEN the light source and the pole 😉

wait until it really takes hold, begins to climb, then flowers. 🙂
