Cattleya walkeriana ‘Veronica’ x ‘Joel de Silviera’ from H&R Orchid Nursery! Cannot take credit for the bloom, but very happy the tiny buds didn’t blast from the change in environment, and now I will be able to see the blooms! Not sure what I will do once it puts out new roots…to pot or to remount

Very beautiful. Usually with mounted orchids you just attach a bigger mount to the existing one. If you prefer potting you could also do that but the roots on the mount would die. I dont really see a way you could gently pry them off but you could always try. Either way wait until you have new growth and newly emerging roots before making your decision
