What are these spots on my hoya rope?

She seems healthy otherwise shes bloomed a few wks ago and is now putting out 4 or more blooms but it has a few spots. Im im tx, i have it on a covered porch but it does get sun in morning and early afternoon. I water it when I remember, i try not to over water. It could probably need a repot. Idk what the soil looks like because its so packed in the pot with growth. Anyone delt with this b4?

Edema I think? Like stretch marks for plants. Stored more water than it could expel/use in a short period of time. If not that then fungal?

Just spots from over watering occasionally. Lots of mine get this. New leaves, when watering less, won’t get these spots.

I think it’s actually sugars in the leaf that get trapped because of a disruption in the circulation for whatever reason. It could be because it’s too hot or not enough water or something.. I don’t think there’s one solid reason why it happens – more like a combination of things.

This looks exactly like what some of my Hoyas. I had was keeping them in a very humid individual containers with moist soil. It never spread to any of the other plants once I move them into gen pop, and it didnt affect the plant other than cosmetically and eventually it did look like it lessened, but thats due to the leaves getting bigger and the plant maturing. It did take awhile for that to happen. Like two years for it to look better.

I too thought it was fungus, but spraying Captain Jack’s Fungicide did nothing to remove or decrease the spots. So with all this I am certain its just edema, which would cause the spots to not go away if the plant cells burst from over watering.
