It looks like these tomatoes exploded. Has anyone ever seen this?

    That is an extreme example of catfacing. Ugly but not a huge concern. It is pretty common on early season fruit.

    I think this is “catfacing,” something that happens when dips in spring temperatures causes damage to tomato flowers during development. The fruit is still edible, and subsequent flowers and fruit on the same plant later in the season should be okay.
